Pro Bono & Public Service
Legal Aid
Justice should not be a privilege of the few. KPJ & Associates dedicates a meaningful share of its practice to pro bono work for those who cannot otherwise afford qualified legal representation.
Our Commitment
Service is part of the practice of law
Pro bono work is woven into the fabric of our chamber. Every member of KPJ & Associates — from senior counsel to junior associates — contributes time each year to causes that protect the rights of underprivileged citizens of Bangladesh.
We accept legal aid matters across a wide range of areas, including wrongful detention, gender-based violence, labour exploitation, family disputes, land grabbing, and protection of constitutional and fundamental rights.
Our pro bono clients receive the same standard of advocacy, diligence and confidentiality as our paying clients. The matter, not the fee, defines our commitment.
Pro Bono Representation
We represent qualifying individuals and families in civil, criminal, family and constitutional matters at no cost.
Access to Justice
We work with the National Legal Aid Services Organisation (NLASO) and partner NGOs to widen access to the courts.
Community Outreach
Free legal awareness sessions for workers, women and marginalised communities on their constitutional rights.
Public Interest Litigation
We support carefully selected public interest matters that protect fundamental rights and the rule of law.
Requesting Legal Aid
If you believe you qualify for free legal assistance, please write to us with a brief description of your matter and your current circumstances. We will review every request confidentially and respond as quickly as our caseload allows.
